A practical myQaura guide

Make room for
what matters to you.

An appointment can be easier to prepare for when the important pieces are in one place. This guide explains the organisational tools in myQaura; it does not provide medical advice.

1. Write the change in your own words

In Health story, record when a change started and what it affects in daily life. Keep your observation separate from a clinician’s conclusion. If you are recording another person’s account, label that source and make sure you have their permission or appropriate authority.

2. Keep original information close

Record medicine names, doses and instructions exactly as labelled or provided by your prescriber or pharmacist. Keep original reports beside the terms and questions you want explained. Qaura does not verify a medicine list or interpret a report.

Check what your practice asks you to bring. Keep original documents available so the care team can check the source information.

3. Choose your priorities

Add an appointment and write what matters most at that visit. Put your questions in the questions field. Useful organisational prompts include: what needs clarification, what is the agreed next step, who owns it and when should you expect to hear back?

Prioritising helps make the conversation manageable. You can also record communication and access needs in your profile.

4. Review a selected visit summary

Open the appointment and choose Prepare. Select the sections you want to include, read the preview and check its accuracy before printing or saving a PDF. Johari reflections and report attachments are excluded. The summary includes up to the latest 20 health notes and 20 reports, rather than every record.

A printed or saved PDF is readable. Share it deliberately with the intended recipient; it is not a complete clinical record.

5. Record what was agreed

After the visit, add a care action with the recorded owner, expected date and current status. Keep the advice and instructions you were given distinct from your own plan. myQaura does not assign tasks to clinicians, contact them or confirm that they have accepted responsibility.
